Working with multiple partners to create a different world in 2050

Published on: 13 August 2015

Working in partnership doesn’t need to just involve one partner, it could be multiple organisations working together to develop mutually beneficial ideas and research, as Dr Steve Simpson demonstrated when he gathered together people actively working in different aspects of UK fisheries to develop a vision for 2050.

The event saw people from trawler men to restaurant owners look at some of the big questions facing UK fisheries today and in the future and develop a vison for fisheries in the year 2050.

The group asked questions such as: Which species will be on the menu? What will the British fleet look like? How much will a wild caught fish be worth?

Coming at the problem form multiple different angles helped them develop a rounded vision that took the needs of sever different industries into account.
