Overview:
I am an internationally recognised expert in elections, media and political behaviour. My research focuses on how institutions, values and norms influence political outcomes such as the underrepresentation of women in politics, gender stereotypes in the media and misogyny and sexism in election campaigns. This research draws on large cross-national surveys, campaign ethnographies and media analysis.
