We invited academic staff and students to submit poster submissions on research work they have carried out on social mobility with a prize for the best entry.
Dr Alison Black, Senior Lecturer in Education, and her team won 1st prize for potential for impact on practice with highlighting how ‘inclusion and the academisation of English secondary schools’ is impacting students with special educational needs.

2nd Prize

Visiting Scholar Jeffrey Grim, University of Michigan, won for ‘Organizing for Student Success’ bringing theory to institutional research as his project aims to understand how joined up support services within universities have the potential for enhancing student experiences and outcomes.
