About this course:

This half day session provides an introduction to personal resilience; what you can do to help keep yourself well when things get tough.

It provides an overview of stress: signs and symptoms, common triggers and how it impacts on functioning and performance.

The session is aimed at promoting self-awareness and personal responsibility for wellbeing.

You will have the opportunity to explore a range of self-help measures that can be incorporated into your daily routine.

Learning outcomes:

At the end of this session it is intended that you will be able to:.

- Recognise symptoms of stress and be more aware of your triggers and early warning signs.

- Consider both employer's and employees responsibilities in the control of work-related stress.

- Identify what you do already to help or hinder your resilience.

- Explore a range of ways to increase your personal resilience and commit yourself to at least one.

- Know where to access further information or support.

Who should attend this course:

This course is open to all staff who are interested in understanding and developing their personal resilience.

It may be particularly helpful to those who are going through (or about to go through) a period of change or for those who are feeling under pressure.
