About this course:

This is a shortened version of the half day face-to-face session Managing Mental Wellbeing and Stress at Work which is currently on hold.

This session will be delivered remotely and will cover line-manager responsibilities for supporting the mental wellbeing of their team and consider some of the additional challenges associated with a global pandemic and remote working.

Learning outcomes:

As a result of attending this course, you will be able to:.

- Understand statutory and ethical responsibilities associated with supporting the mental wellbeing of your team.

- Develop awareness of line-manager behaviours found to be effective in the prevention or reduction of stress at work.

- Recognise and respond to stress in team members.

- Have strategies for supporting the team during remote working.

- Know where to go for further support.

Who should attend this course:

Those with line-management responsibilities, prospective line-managers or a role that involves supporting the mental wellbeing of employees.

Before the course:

- Participants to complete HSE Stress Management Competency Indicator Tool.

- Participants to familiarise themselves with stress risk assessment tools (team and individual).
