About this course:

In today's online environment understanding how to use the myriad of digital communication tools available is vital.

This session, will help you discover how to effectively communicate your research using websites, blogs & social media.

The aim of this session is to equip you with the tools and skills to communicate your research, to know when it is appropriate to send certain messages and know how to effectively send these communications to raise the profile of your research.

The session also aims to give you an overview of the different digital communication tools available and how to identify which tools are best to use to target specific audiences.

Learning outcomes:

As a result of attending this course, you will be able to:.

- Identify who your audience is and where they spend time on the web.

- Choose digital communication tools that are relevant to your audience.

- Write digital communications that are accessible and interesting and help promote your research.

- Know when it is appropriate to send certain messages and understand how to ensure you are not giving too much away.

- Identify when to use blogs, websites and social media.

- Ensure your online presence is manageable and doesn't stagnate.
