Joint Appraisal
Joint appraisal requires two appraisers: one from the University of Exeter and one from the healthcare employer, on a single occasion. A joint approach to appraisal allows meaningful discussion to take place regarding all aspects of the role.
The appraisers and appraisee will formally agree the record of the appraisal, including the record of issues raised, appraisal discussion and outcomes, and the academic plan proposed for the following year. Copies of the appraisal record should be kept on the appraisee's HR record at the University and with their healthcare employer.
