Complementary Therapies

We are pleased to be able to offer a range of complementary therapies at reduced rates for colleagues.

Note that these are currently suspended due to social distancing requirements and the closure of the treatment room which is too small for more than one person at a time to safely occupy it. This offering will be reviewed as the situation regarding pandemic precautions develops.

Rebecca Cunningham

"I have been Rebecca's client for nearly a year now. As an academic who spends long hours in front of the computer, I suffer from severe shoulder and back problems. The massage sessions with Rebecca offer immense relief and have been vital as a tool for managing my shoulder pain. They are also a great stress-buster and I always come away feeling happier with the world!" Senior Lecturer

"Rebecca is a very skilled reflexologist - I initially went to see her just to relax but the treatment has also helped me with a particular health problem (as well as being relaxing!). She will tailor and personalise treatments to suit individual needs which is really helpful. She is also very friendly and down to earth. Being able to see a complementary therapist so close to my office saves me a lot of time, and costs less than seeing a therapist in other settings, so it's great that the University of Exeter facilitates access to this on campus." "I can't recommend Nikki Darling yoga enough. I have been suffering from insomnia for a while, but after getting acupuncture from Nikki, I have had my first night of unbroken sleep in about 2 years . WOW! Nikki has a great, positive and kind energy, and she makes you feel totally at ease- even if you're  afraid of needles- like me! Thank you :-)" - Elisabeth

"Nikki has taught yoga classes at my workplace and is a wonderfully dedicated, knowledgeable and passionate yoga teacher with a very warm and calming presence...thoroughly recommended. I have also been to Nikki's auricular acupuncture sessions. She creates a lovely relaxing environment and I found I slept very well the week after my first treatment." - Sarah

"Nikki's morning class today was perfection! I am sat at my desk feeling calm and ready for the day, and not frazzled and knackered like I normally do on a Friday. Even though I'm not very flexible and have no balance, Nikki made me feel comfortable and helped me create the yoga shapes and stretches that suited me." - Becky

Please note: whilst the University is pleased to welcome complementary practitioners to the campus and support greater access to a range of wellbeing services, we are not in a position to actively condone the effectiveness of such treatments. However, we want to promote choice and encourage individuals to make informed decisions regarding the management of their health needs.
