Future Finance


Due to complete in 2017, Future Finance has roots in the University Transformation Programme.

The project is delivering new and improved finance and procurement systems. It will improve business processes, including budget reporting, finance processing, and purchasing, with appropriate automation from within a single professional organisation design.

The result will be a consistent and easy to use customer-centered service supporting University aims and ambitions. 

The team set out with six key ambitions to deliver a vision, for: 

  • A single finance team
  • Meeting the needs of our customers
  • Supporting the University to sustain Global 100 status
  • Providing quality information, insight and advice
  • Whilst maintaining financial strength and integrity

  • December 2015 Operating Models Approved by Exeter Transformation Board
  • January 2016 Research Legacy Work Stream Complete
  • February 2018 New Procurement Systems Go Live
  • Februar 2018 New Finance Core System Go Live
  • February 2018 Research Finance System Go Live
  • July 2018 Organisational Transitions Complete
