A dedicated line has been established to support those directly or indirectly affected by current events. This service can provide in-the-moment confidential support to any colleagues, PGR students and dependents over 18. Spectrum Life is free of charge and provides advice, counselling and in-the-moment support to University employees/PhD students, their partners and their dependants over 16. They offer the following support:

** Please note that, if your case is considered to be more complex than can be covered in 6 sessions, Spectrum Life may advise alternative options including free NHS Talking Therapy Services or private counselling which would not be covered by the University.
NHS Talking Therapies (previously called IAPT) - a free NHS support you can refer yourself directly to for talking therapies, such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), counselling, other therapies and guided self-help.
