Creative Methods in Military Studies workshop at the University of Newcastle

Dr Sergio Catignani, Senior Lecturer in International Security and Strategy at the University of Exeter, participated in the Creative Methods in Military Studies workshop at the University of Newcastle. 

Dr Sergio Catignani, Senior Lecturer in Security & Strategic Studies, participated in the Creative Methods in Military Studies workshop at the University of Newcastle on 5 June 2019.The workshop was hosted by the Military War and Security Research Group and convened by Dr Alice Cree, ESRC Postdoctoral Fellow and Professor Rachel Woodward, Professor of Human Geography. The workshop explored how theatre, dance, music, poetry, fiction, and fine art, and other creative practices, can contribute to researching the military from a critical military studies perspective. The workshop brought together scholars and creative arts practitioners to explore what creative research methodologies can bring to researching the military.
