Responding to your feedback
In January - February 2022 we asked our University community what they thought of proposals for this reorganisation. 121 responses from students were received. Feedback was immensely valuable and has led to a large number of changes, which have strengthened the new structures considerably. In response to the three areas that generated the most concerns from students we made the following changes to our proposal:
- Biosciences (Streatham) will continue as one department, and will now be located in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences. Biosciences based on our Penryn Campus will become the department of Ecology and Conservation and will continue as one department.
- Mathematics and Computer Sciences will remain as individual departments
- The Natural Sciences programme will continue as a cross-faculty programme; while the staff who lead the programme will be located in Physics and Astronomy, this will not affect the delivery of this programme.
If you have any questions about the changes to our structure please ask them via this form if you are an Exeter-based student; or if you’re Cornwall-based please email studentvoice@thesu.org.uk
