About Exeter Access Centre

We are a fully accredited Access Centre and part of a National Network of Assessment Centres (NNAC Ltd).

From Monday 26 February 2024 the Student Loans Company (SLC) is introducing a new service model for Needs Assessments for students with disabilities.

NEW APPLICATIONS

If your Funding Body is either Student Finance England (SFE) or Student Finance Wales (SFW) students should continue to apply for DSA support direct to SFE or SFW, sending copies of all relevant medical evidence. For further information please read: Help if you're a student with a learning difficulty, health problem or disability: Disabled Students' Allowance - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

Eligibility wll be confirmed through a new format DSA1 letter, and then the Zone Assessment Provider will make contact to offer an appointment. These can be remote or in-person.

FOR STUDENTS WITH DSA SUPPORT ALREADY IN PLACE

General queries and requests for increased Study Skills and Mentoring support should be sent to your original Assessment Centre. If your original Centre has closed, SLC will re-direct you to a new provider for support.
