Module description
This module exposes students to most recent research developments in finance literature. It familiarises them with emerging research topics in finance and makes them aware of state-of-the-art methodological approaches. By doing so, it prepares students for their MRes/PhD studies and subsequent academic career. In particular, it equips them with skills to both conduct their own research and to review research work of other academics.
Module aims - intentions of the module
- To familiarise students with most recent research developments in various sub-fields of finance and thus allow the student to pursue a programme of independent research on a finance topic of their choosing during subsequent MRes/PhD studies.

- To prepare students for future role as reviewers of academic papers.
