Module description

This module combines theory and practice by introducing you to the structure of the science-policy interface and providing you with a deep understanding of key sustainability theory and its relevance for practice.  The module will examine the theories that have been most influential within contemporary policy and practice, and it will explore how evidence-based policy-making works and where and how science can support law-makers formulate policy for sustainability. You will learn about the mechanisms involved in the science-policy interface, and you will develop abilities needed to critically engage with sustainability policy and practice.
