Module description
This module will assess your learning on your legal placement as a compulsory element of the LLB (Hons) Law with Legal Placement programme. Undertaking a legal placement significantly increases and deepens your understanding of the legal workplace and issues relating to legal professionalism and the future of law beyond the learning in your academic modules. It gives you a deeper understanding of legal practice and learning through the experience of workplace culture and develops your practical law skills, thus broadening your overall learning experience. The aim of the reflective portfolio element of the module is to focus your awareness on the impact of your placement, comparing expectations with realities, and developing a critical awareness of the realities of the legal workplace. You will reflect on the problems posed by different working conditions and by the challenges of everyday life in an unfamiliar social and economic environment.
This module is only for students taking the LLB (Hons) Law with Legal Placement programme.
