Exeter Experience Residential

What's it all about?

During this short residential programme you will have the opportunity to experience what it is really like to be a university student.

Who is eligible to apply?

The Year 10 Experience Exeter Residential is targeted at black, Asian and minority ethnic students from London and Birmingham.

Who else will be there?

The residential will involve 60 Year 10 students. You will live and work alongside current university students who will make sure that you get the most out of your stay.

How much will it cost?

Nothing – it's totally free! Everything is paid for including your transport, food, drinks, accommodation and all activities.

What will I do during the day?

During the day we want to give you a taste of what studying at university is like. You'll experience academic taster sessions held in university facilities with current University of Exeter students. You will also have the opportunity to participate in workshops led by staff from the Students' Guild and Exeter Student Ambassadors who will talk to you about student life and extracurricular activities. You will have a chance to ask current students any questions you have about studying and living at university.

What social activities are planned?

Student life, as you've probably guessed, is not all about studying! After having dinner in one of the many on-campus catering outlets, you'll have a choice of activities to take part in before chilling out with your friends in the accommodation communal area.

Where will I be staying?

You will stay in Holland Hall accommodation, located in the heart of the Streatham campus. You will have your own ensuite room and share breakfast with your friends in the student dining area.
