International Women's Day Week
International Women's Day
International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women and call to action for accelerating sex and gender equality. We are thrilled to share that this year’s campaign theme is #BreakTheBias.
For the week of 7th-11th March, we will be hosting a diverse open-access virtual programme available for all students to participate in, which will include a series of exciting and inspiring online Zoom events from academic sessions to student panels. Sign up for any sessions here.
Following on from the success of our virtual IWD week last year, we are delighted to announce that we are holding a #BreaktheBias event on International Women’s Day on Tuesday 8th March from 10am-3pm on the Streatham Campus at the University of Exeter. It will be an exciting programme with an inspiring line-up of speakers, panels and academic sessions on empowerment, breaking bias, women's voices and gender equality. It is a fantastic opportunity to bring Year 10-12 students to campus for the day – spaces are limited so early booking is strongly advised. Email email@example.com to reserve your place.
