Work with us

We would love to hear from researchers that are interested in moving their research in a more interdisciplinary direction. We can provide support around training and personal development as well as advice and guidance on routes to funding both internally and externally.

Why not call in to one of our weekly drop-in sessions where we are happy to discuss future avenues for research, collaboration opportunities or anything else that could aid in your career development.

Our research fellows are at the heart of TREE. They lead their own personal research projects and collaborate on innovative cross-discipline research via our seed corn process. Fellows spend around 50% of their time on their own research ideas, and are provided with a personal budget to facilitate their travel and consumables as required.

Our Fellowships are designed as a springboard to enable researchers to secure independent funding through an externally funded fellowship. Within our team, several people have secured Fellowships with the MRC's Skills Development and Career Development schemes, and EPSRC Early Career Fellowships.

To help you be next, you'll be automatically enrolled into our unique mentoring programme. You will receive bespoke coaching and advice, resource to deliver activities to enhance your CV and support from our research services team. We provide support to identify schemes which align best to your research interests, and coach you through our intensive interview preparation led by senior members of our team. As part of our offer, Fellows who are subsequently awarded an external Fellowship, can progress to a permanent Lectureship within an appropriate College, subject to satisfactory performance and compliance with visa regulations.
