GC increased my confidence and team work skills, allowing me to study subjects I have a keen interest in outside my degree subject.
Lectures and debates about subjects I didn’t even know I found interesting. Working with students I had never met before. Discussing ideas and opinions I didn’t realise I had.
It pushed me outside my normal comfort zone and got me absorbed with a group of brilliant group of students who I may not otherwise have met.
I got to work with students from other subjects, broadening my friendship pool at the university.
I would really recommend GC for anybody who wants to stretch themselves academically, while having a great time with other like-minded people.
GC helps you engage with the real world, doing something meaningful you can be proud of. Yes, I was part of that and it was amazing!
I always like a challenge. It was good for my CV, great fun, and a good way of meeting new and interesting people.
I wanted to experience presentations from high profile speakers and engage in debate about controversial issues.
It was a great opportunity to use & build on skills I had learned during my first year.
