New projects

We continue to invest in our campuses, estate and infrastructure. We are building the estate we need to deliver world-class research and an internationally excellent education, accommodating our students and our world leading academics in exceptional teaching, learning and research spaces. Please see below some of our new and live projects currently happening across the University of Exeter.

West Park

We are increasing student accommodation on Streatham Campus by building new and refurbished student living facilities.

Exeter Engineering 2030

We are investing our Department of Engineering by developing a strong combination of teaching curriculum and research activities with new research and teaching laboratories. 

Duckes Meadow changing facility

The University is proposing to improve the sports changing facility at Duckes Meadow Sports Field, on Salmon Pool Lane in Exeter, to provide a range of flexible changing rooms, improved access, increased usable space and improved layout.

Al Qasimi Building

We have received a philanthropic pledge from His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, the Ruler of Sharjah, to co-fund the construction of a new development that will enhance our international reputation in Area Studies.

Penryn Wind Turbine

The University is planning to locate a wind turbine near our Penryn Campus, to provide clean electricity, along with improved habitats for local wildlife in the area.

St. Luke's Campus redevelopment

The University of Exeter has an ambitious vision to redevelop its St Luke’s Campus over the next decade and enhance its reputation as a world-leading centre of excellence for health and wellbeing research and education.

Penryn 2.0

We are investing to enhance our infrastructure in Penryn to build on strengths in research excellence and the potential for student growth in Cornwall.
