Partnerships

Arizona State University (ASU)

We are also proud to collaborate with Arizona State University through a blended, dual-site model within the Climate and Environment Emergency Challenge.

Continuing a pilot launched in 2025, ASU students participate online in the Water Resources Enquiry Group, working in mixed teams with University of Exeter students to explore water systems, sustainability, and climate resilience. Students collaborate across institutions, disciplines, and time zones to address a crisis that directly impacts both regions, from flooding and sewerage to water scarcity.

This unique international model allows students to gain experience of hybrid and remote collaboration, mirroring the realities of globalised industries and international research projects. Working across time zones, students develop advanced project management, communication, and teamwork skills while engaging in meaningful cross-cultural dialogue.
