Spring Vacation 2026 on Cornwall Campuses

Are you staying on campus in Cornwall over the Spring vacation? If so, you may find the below information on opening times, services and events, available within the University, helpful.

Library and Help Desks 

Easter Opening Hours – Overview  

  • Penryn Campus Library will remain open 24/7 throughout the Easter break. There will be a reduced library staff presence and/or will require self-service on Bank Holidays. Instead, the space is regularly patrolled by our Safety and Support team. If you require assistance or would like to report any concerns, you can contact them at any time using the SafeZone app or the 24/7 Emergency line 01326254444.
  • Falmouth Campus Library will be closed over the 3 weekends of the Easter break and on Bank Holidays, but will be open from 9am – 5pm during weekdays.

Penryn Library 

Penryn Campus Library will be open 24/7 throughout the Easter break, with staffing arrangements as follows:

  • Sat 28th – Sun 29 March: Self-service only
  • Mon 30th March – Thu 2nd April: Staffed 9am–5pm
  • Fri 3rd – Mon 6 April (Easter weekend): Self-service only
  • Tue 7th – Fri 10th April: Staffed 9am–5pm
  • Sat 11th – Sun 12nd April: Self-service only

Term-time hours resume from Monday 13th April.

Falmouth Library: 

Falmouth Campus Library will be open on selected weekdays only:

  • Sat 28th – Sun 29th March: Closed
  • Mon 30th March – Thu 2nd April: Open 9am–5pm
  • Fri 3rd – Mon 6th April (Easter weekend): Closed
  • Tue 7th – Fri 10th April: Open 9am–5pm
  • Sat 11th – Sun 12th April: Closed

Term-time hours resume from Monday 13th April.

Sports Centre

The Sports Centre’s opening hours over the Easter period will remain the same, with the exception of the following changes on bank holidays:

  • Good Friday, 3 April, 8:30am-6:00pm.
  • Easter Monday, 6 April, 8:30am-6:00pm.

The Multifaith Chaplaincy

The Easter opening hours for Multifaith Chaplaincy services are as follows: 

  • The Chaplaincy room in Fox Building on Falmouth Campus will be open 9:00am – 16:00pm, Monday to Friday, except for Bank Holidays.  
  • Penryn Chaplaincy will remain open 9:00am – 17:00pm, Monday to Friday. While there will be no staff or volunteer chaplains present on the Bank Holidays, students and staff are welcome to use the space and make themselves at home with a cup of tea or coffee.
  • The Muslim prayer room on the Penryn campus will remain open, 24/7, at all times.

During the Spring Vacation, the Career Zone will be available online.

You can contact them between 10:00 and 15:00, Monday to Friday. Virtual one-to-one appointments will be available with their friendly and experienced staff, plus the team will also be able to live chat with you via the Career Zone website, take your phone calls and answer your emails. You can access My Career Zone to search for jobs and opportunities, and use their website for career research and planning.

The Students’ Union will be open as usual throughout the Easter break, but will close on Bank Holidays (Good Friday, 3 April and Easter Monday, 6 April). Any activities taking place over this time can be found on the SU events page.

There are also a number of events organised over the Spring break by the SU, ResLife,  Chaplaincy and International Student Experience.

The PL building closed on 7th April, the Hub team will be migrating to the Career Zone for the day. Opening hours will be 9am-1pm and 2pm-5pm.The Info point telephone number and SID online will be covered for the duration of the day also.

The team will be back in their usual location in the Peter Lanyon Building from 9am on Wednesday 08th April.

During the closure periods, students can still email info.penryn@ex.ac.uk  – all emails will be retained and attended to during the next working day.

Togetherall online support 
Togetherall is a 24/7 online digital mental health support service that is completely anonymous, so you can express yourself freely and openly. Professionally trained Wall Guides monitor the community to ensure the safety and anonymity of all members. You also have access to tailored self-help courses covering topics such as anxiety, sleep, weight management, depression and more. Log in using your University email at Togetherall.com 

Silvercloud 
You could also try the online mental health programme Silvercloud which is free for Uni students.
