Students at an open day

Student ambassadors often help at university open days.
About the Exeter Student Ambassador Scheme
Exeter student ambassadors work with young people aged between 13-18 years from a diverse range of backgrounds. The Exeter Student Ambassador Scheme supports the outreach work of the Student Recruitment Office in the areas of student recruitment and widening participation. Exeter Student Ambassadors work on activities aimed at reaching out to talented young people who are considering the University as a place to study. They also support and encourage students who are able but are not aspiring through our numerous widening participation initiatives.
Student ambassadors are provided with extensive training in order to prepare them for the role. Some of the core duties which we expect ambassadors to undertake include:
- showing prospective students and their parents round the University on organised campus tours
- helping out at open days
- acting as hosts to groups on incoming school visits
