A coffee to call your own
The Barisca Coffee Co. brand has been exclusively created by the University Catering and Retail Team. The brand introduces a series of quality Fairtrade blends and products to Exeter, inviting customers to enjoy meaningful conversations in creative, modern environments.
The Fairtrade Barisca Coffee Co. drinks range can be found in all University outlets.
The creation of Barisca Coffee Co. is intended to provide a consistent and identifiable brand standard which resonates with the University community.
Barisca aims to build brand loyalty with the consumer through a selection of superb recognisable product ranges, starting with our own blends of coffee. Customers can experience the quality Barisca brand through creative, relaxed environments on campus, encouraging meaningful conversations to take place around our aromatic coffee.
All of the hot drinks in the Barisca Coffee Co. range are Fairtrade. Fairtrade is about better prices, decent working conditions, local sustainability and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world.
One of the main drivers in introducing our own coffee brand to the University was to invest in a sustainable and responsible coffee supply. We put Fairtrade at the heart of our sourcing and work with likeminded local coffee experts to bring the best products to the University, without compromising on environmental credentials.

Barisca - The Name
A bit like our coffee, the name Barisca is a clever fusion of classic meets modern. Isca makes reference to the Roman name ‘Exeter’, whilst we play homage to our team of baristas, brewing your daily coffee.
If you're running an event on campus, why not hire our Barisca Coffee Co. cart and provide your guests with barista-made Fairtrade hot drinks.
From our bespoke University blend of coffee, to a wide range of teas, cold drinks, tray bakes and snacks, we can provide a full catering service to complement your event anywhere on campus.
We will staff the cart with our baristas and provide a cash bar, giving you an added dimension to your event.
