Career Fairs are a staple employability offering to the student body and allows you to raise your company profile whilst also meeting emerging talent. Due to increased student numbers and better facilities we are seeing an increased attendance at the fairs.

Jobs Fair

Wednesday 26th September 2018
11-2pm
The Compass, Exchange Building, Penryn Campus

This fair is organised in collaboration with Falmouth University and will be open to 7000 students from all disciplines and all years of study, at our Cornwall campuses. Students can use the event to meet with organisation representatives, and find out what options there are for part time work during term time as well as over holidays. This fair offers a mixture of internal and external employers attending the fair with a variety of vacancies.

Volunteering Fair

This fair offers volunteering, internships, placements and graduate opportunities within the third sector and all aspects of the public sector. Our students already support, volunteer and intern at a wide range of charities, NGO’s and public sector bodies whilst studying with us, as well as engaging in the local community. Together with the academic subject specialism offered at our Cornwall Campuses, our students develop skill sets to become a real asset to any organisation in these sectors, and this is a great event to showcase your opportunities and build your brand on campus. Last year, we had 33 exhibitors representing local and international organisations and over 500 students attended.

Careers & Opportunities Fair

The Careers & Opportunities Fair is an exciting new offering providing a central event to promote your company and opportunities to all University of Exeter students on the Penryn Campus. 

We expect to welcome at least forty employers to exhibit at this flagship event, which will make it the largest career fair on the campus.

The fair provides the perfect opportunity for you to raise your profile amongst our students and market any opportunities you may have (internships, placements and graduate roles). Students use the event to meet with organisation representatives, learn more about the possible career pathways available and investigate further study options. 

This fair is open to current Exeter students from all years and disciplines of study. You can expect those in the first year through to their final year to attend.

There are over 2,500 students studying across all three Colleges, which include the following subjects: 

  • Humanities (English & History)
  • Camborne School of Mines (Geology, Surveying and Mining Engineering)
  • Renewable Energy Engineering
  • Business
  • Biosciences & Geography (Physical and Human)
  • Politics & International Relations
  • Mathematics

Due to high demand for the Careers & Opportunities Fair, we recommend submitting a booking form as soon as possible.

Online Booking Form will open in May 2018. Once we receive your online booking, we will be in touch within 10 days to confirm details.

FEES

Please note: these fees are increased due to the larger scale of the event

  • Standard Rate - £79+VAT - All organisations except where specified rates apply
  • Reduced Rate - £39+VAT - Government, Small Medium Enterprises (outside Cornwall) and Not for Profit (Includes LEA’s, Unions, Associations and Professional Bodies)
  • Charity and Local Employer Rate £25+VAT - registered charities and Cornwall-based SMEs (fewer than 250 staff).
  • Internal - (FREE) - Please note lunch not included
The charges include:
  • A stand space (2.5m width x 1.5m depth x 2m height) in the Sports Hall
  • Up to two tables and four chairs
  • An electrical point (where possible)
  • Inclusion in the fair promotional material (including list of exhibitors, outlining roles available and web address)
  • Hyperlink from the Career Zone’s website to your organisation’s website (If provided before 1st October)
  • Wi-Fi access
  • Pasties for exhibitors (not included for internal exhibitors)
  • Tea, coffee, mineral water and biscuits available throughout the day

Study and Work Abroad Fair - Wednesday 14th November 2018

This fair is an opportunity for organisations that offer positions abroad to meet students and discuss opportunities to work and gain experience outside the UK.

This event open to students studying at Falmouth University and University of Exeter.

Spring Fair 2019

This new fair is an opportunity for organisations that offer positions for graduate recruitment or summer casual jobs to meet students.

Exhibitors from various sectors offering projects, internships, casual work, voluntary roles and other opportunities are invited to speak to students.

This event will be open to students studying at Falmouth University and University of Exeter.

Online Booking Form will open in June 2018.

  • Charity Rate £0 - registered charities
  • Internal - (FREE) - Please note lunch not included

The charges include:

  • A stand space (2.5m width x 1.5m depth x 2m height)
  • One table and 2 chairs
  • An electrical point (where possible)
  • Wi-Fi access
  • Lunch vouchers or pasties for exhibitors (not included for internal exhibitors)

  • Car parking permit for 1 vehicle (additional parking spaces will be chargeable)
