Careers and Placement Fair

This fair is aimed at current Exeter students from all disciplines and all years of study. Students are advised they can use the fair as a fact-finding event if they are not sure of the career path they want to follow, as a way to meet and find out more details about particular employers or to investigate further study options. The fair also offers students the chance to find out about vacation work and gap year opportunities. 

Fair charges:

Stand prices range from £75+VAT - £395+VAT. This includes: 

  • a stand space (3m length x 2m depth x 2m height)
  • one table and 2 chairs
  • an electrical point
  • a standard entry in our fair brochure
  • vacancy details entered onto our Jobsurfing database
  • hyperlink from the Employability and Graduate Development Service’s website to your organisation’s website.
  • wi-fi access (if requested)
  • lunch for 2 exhibitors
  • tea, coffee and mineral water available throughout the day

Fair venue:    

The Great Hall and Lower Examination Hall, University of Exeter,
Stocker Road, Exeter, Devon EX4 4PZ

Venue access: 

From 8.30am to 4.00pm on the day.  Student helpers will be available throughout these times.

Opening times:

The fair is open to students from 11.00am to 3.00pm.

Lunch: 

A buffet lunch is available for exhibitors at the fair venue from 12.00noon until 2.00pm – tickets are distributed to exhibitors on the day. 

Attendance: 

Last year we had 93 exhibitors and approximately 2000 students over our two day fair. 

Deliveries: 

If you wish to make special arrangements for the delivery and/or collection of stands and/or materials for the fair in advance of the event, this can be arranged with Natalie Horlock – details will be given in the final fair mailing.

Cancellation: 

You will be charged the full cost of the fair in advance unless cancellation of booking is received in writing by Monday 5 September 2011.  If you cancel after this date the full cost will still be incurred.
