Overview
I am an Engineer by profession and my research is concerned with improving tailings management in Uganda, which includes tailings disposal and storage (tailings dam construction, operation, monitoring, and maintenance). I will conduct literature reviews, undertake geochemical characterisation, determine water quality in the rivers and the Lake within Kilembe Mine area, and survey and calculate the volume of spilled tailings at Kilembe Mine among others. My research is envisaged to cover geotechnical engineering, environmental geochemistry, and mineralogy fields. Thus, I am a member of both the Environment and Sustainability Institute and the Camborne School of Mines in the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Sciences.
