As an interdisciplinary research institute, the ESI works on projects that bring diverse perspectives together to shed light on some of the major challenges the planet is facing.
We are exploring solutions to problems of environmental change and ways to foster greater sustainability with three key foci for the research: (1) Ecosystems and evolution; (2) Energy; and (3) Engagement.
We work on local and regional case studies to provide insights into how environmental growth and sustainability can be achieved more broadly, aiming to publish our research in the leading international academic journals. We do this with a range of partners and colleagues across the university.
