3 March 2021 | Cash of the Titans: Screening & Q&AWe will be screening Chris Guggiari-Peel’s documentary – Cash of the Titans! Synopsis: A small team of researchers tagged and radio-tracked the movement of titan beetles in the rain forests of French Guiana. These huge beetles are rare and therefore highly valued in the insect trade. This documentary explores the different aspects of the little-understood global trade of insects, how regulations and collectors' behaviours are changing and what this means to the conservation for the world's largest beetle species.. 4 March 2021 | How students can learn for and lead on sustainabilityAs part of the University’s Sustainability Week, we are hosting an open session with SOS-UK (Students Organising for Sustainability UK) to explore how students can learn for and lead on sustainability, particularly through the For Good platform. For Good is an online platform delivered by SOS-UK that pairs students with placement, research and project opportunities to use their education as a force for environmental, social and economic good. As institutional members of the platform, students at the University of Exeter can receive bespoke support and active matching support to the find the right opportunity. Come along to learn more about how you can make the most of For Good and use your education to further environmental and social sustainability!
