Impact and Partnership Development Officer - Policy@Exeter

 Innovation Centre Phase 2

Innovation Centre Phase 2, University of Exeter,  Rennes Drive,  Exeter,  EX4 4RN, UK

Overview

I am an Impact and Partnership Development Officer in the University of Exeter’s Innovation, Impact and Business team. My main focus is Policy@Exeter, a community of practice within and outside the University which improves and increases engagement with policy and capacity to generate income and impact.

I enjoy building friendly and collaborative business relationships with academics and external partners. On a daily basis, I provide bespoke support for researchers interested in engaging with policy, as well as policy-makers who seek academic evidence to support their decision-making process. I also manage Policy@Exeter's website, Twitter profile and mailing list.

One day a week, I work as Impact Officer for the Evidence-Based Justice Lab, an interdisciplinary research group specialising in behavioural and data science research to address miscarriages of justice.

Background

Following a BA in Modern Languages and an MA in Translation Studies, I worked as a client-facing project manager in the Language Services department of a global Clinical Research Organisation. I can speak/sign in five languages (at various degrees of rustiness) and enjoy reading contemporary fiction, knitting, training my cat, and taking long walks along the South West coast.
