Join the GSI for a seminar with author and climate change activist Genevieve Guenther who will discuss their work on the communication of climate change challenges and policies.
Dr Genevieve Guenther is an American author and climate change activist, best known for founding the media watchdog organization End Climate Silence. She is affiliate faculty at the Tishman Environment and Design Center at The New School. Her recent book, The Language of Climate Politics: Fossil Fuel Propaganda and How to Fight It, published by Oxford University Press, explores modern climate denial and strategies to counteract it.
Genevieve writes extensively on climate language and media coverage. She produces a weekly newsletter on climate disinformation and communication strategies. End Climate Silence advocates for greater media coverage of climate change, earning her recognition as a leading advocate for integrating climate narratives into news stories.
Genevieve's work has been featured in CNN, WNYC, The New Yorker, The New York Times, and the BBC. She also contributed as an Expert Reviewer for the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report, solidifying her role in climate communication.
