Undergraduate entry requirements for students from Kazakhstan

Secondary school leaving certificate (Year 11) with GPA 4/5 (minimum 4 in Maths) will be considered for direct admission to one of our International Study Centre courses at Exeter's Streatham Campus, with assured progression to Bachelor degree courses if sufficient grades are attained.

Students who have studied at one of the twenty Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools (NIS) and who have completed the NIS Grade 12 Certificate which is awarded on completion of the NIS-Program (High School), can be considered for direct entry to the first year of an undergraduate degree at Exeter.

For the NIS Grade 12 Certificate, students undertake eight compulsory subjects and a range of elective subjects (including two at advanced level, typically one at standard level, and further elective courses). The NIS Grade 12 Certificate can be considered comparable to the overall A Level standard, with Mathematics and the student's two Advanced level electives comparable to A Level on a subject-for-subject basis.
