Entry requirements

The information below will allow you to check qualifications from your country or territory to see if they may be accepted for entry to the University of Exeter, and the equivalent grades required. Undergraduate entry requirements for students from Nepal

Students with A levels, the International Baccalaureate Diploma, Year XIIth from CBSE, ICSE or completion of the first year of a university degree, can apply for direct entry. See our undergraduate courses for more information about entry requirements.

Otherwise, you will need to complete an acceptable foundation programme, such as one of our International Study Centre courses at Exeter's Streatham Campus, or another accepted foundation programme. This also applies to holders of the HBSE / School Leaving Certificate.

Postgraduate entry requirements for students from Nepal

Postgraduate Taught

Applicants with a degree from a recognised University across 4 years of study can be considered for entry to a Masters programme. 

Applicants with a three year degree from other recognised universities, plus a Masters degree with 80% or GPA 3.7 out of 4.0 will also be considered.

First Degree Bachelors Degree (4 years duration)
First 75% (CGPA 3.3/4)
2:1 65% (CGPA 3.0/4)
2:2 60% (CGPA 2.7/4)

Postgraduate Research

For entry onto postgraduate research programmes (PhD) you will need to hold a four year undergraduate degree plus Master’s degree from a recognised university with a minimum of 80% or GPA 3.7 out of 4.0.

These scholarships help make sure aspiring students from this country can pursue their studies. There are scholarships available for January 2026 entry and September 2026 entry.
