Entry requirements
The information below will allow you to check qualifications from your country or territory to see if they may be accepted for entry to the University of Exeter, and the equivalent grades required. Undergraduate entry requirements for students from Pakistan
Students with A levels, the International Baccalaureate Diploma or USA curriculum tests can apply for direct entry. See individual programme pages and the USA country page for information about entry requirements for these qualifications.
Students who have studied the HSC (Higher Secondary School Certificate) will be required to complete an appropriate foundation to be considered for entry, such as one of our International Study Centre courses or equivalent.

Postgraduate entry requirements for students from Pakistan
Postgraduate Taught
Students who have completed 16 years of study (i.e 4 years of post-secondary education) from a recognised university can be considered for entry to Postgraduate Taught programmes.

Postgraduate Research
For entry onto postgraduate research programmes (including PhD) you will need to hold a relevant Masters degree, supported by a strong research proposal.

University of Exeter Postgraduate Taught Scholarships for Pakistan
These scholarships help make sure aspiring students from this country can pursue their studies. There are scholarships available for January 2026 entry and September 2026 entry.
