University of Exeter offers recession busting scholarships for MBA programme

The University of Exeter Business School today announced it will be offering five full fee scholarships, worth £17,000 each, to eligible students taking up places on its full time, one year MBA course for the 2009/10 academic year.

The scholarships will be awarded to students who have excelled in both their previous academic and business careers.

There are also 12 other scholarships worth £5,000 each which will be awarded based on students’ previous work experience achievements.

Professor Richard Lamming, Director of the Business School said ‘With so much uncertainty about the economic situation over the next couple of years, many people may think this is the ideal time to return to education and develop their skills to be in the best position to take advantage of the upturn when it comes. The Business School realises that people need to be supported to be able to make this commitment and I am delighted that we’ve been able to be more generous with these scholarships that at any time in the past. It’s one of the University’s many initiatives towards helping the UK economy back on its feet.’

The Business School is ranked 7th for Business Studies in the Times Good University Guide 2009 and 4th in the Guardian in 2008 for Business and Management.

We offer full time, part time and modular MBAs designed to meet the needs of mature students.
