How the change charter will be implemented through the framework:

As leaders of change, the charter commitments will be delivered by:

  • Ambition & Challenge: using the ‘shared change purpose’ and visible change leadership’ elements of the framework – particularly during the diagnose and design phases of the change initiative to build a clear rationale for change and vision for the future.  Sponsors and leaders of change will know their roles and responsibilities and will be visibly committed to the change throughout the life of the initiative.  Leaders will help individuals through their own personal change journey – providing information, opportunities and support where appropriate
  • Collaboration: using the ‘smart engagement and communication’ element to plan our engagement activities with stakeholders and staff so that we can be clear about when we can and will seek your views.  We will regularly provide feedback and in longer initiatives we will have regular ‘pause’ points to reflect on our progress and review our plans
  • Community: using the ‘supportive organisation & culture’ element throughout the change initiative to address the stress involved in change.  We will all support each other, acknowledge our feelings and work together on actions to address our concerns
  • Impact: using the ‘shared change purpose’ element, particularly as we design and develop our approach to the change initiative, to understand the change impacts on all impacted staff and stakeholders.  We will manage these impacts throughout the life of the change initiative and ensure everyone is ready before we begin to deliver the change
  • Rigour: using the ‘meaningful change measurement’ element throughout the initiative to track our change progress and be clear about when and how we have achieved our objectives and delivered the anticipated benefits
