They have an enlarged ‘wet room’ style bathroom, for wheelchair access, and grabrails fitted - which can be relocated to suit individual needs.

The rooms have also been adapted to connect to a pillow vibration alarm (for hearing difficulties) and/or a pull-chord alarm to the alarm systems, as required.

You will be asked to provide medical evidence to the Accessibility Team to support your condition and request. The Accessibility Team will then review your case to ensure you have the right support in place and liaise with the Accommodation Team regarding any accommodation needs, they have approved.

We're happy to discuss individual requirements with students who have disabilities, and we encourage you to contact the Accommodation Office and the Accessibility Team at an early stage so we can make sure we consider your needs when allocating rooms.

Whilst we endeavour to make reasonable adjustments to support individuals who, due to a disability, a long-term medical condition or sensory or physical impairment require adapted accommodation. We are unable to guarantee we can offer suitable accommodation as this is subject to availability.

There is no parking available at any of our residences (except for Blue Badge holders) and students are strongly discouraged from bringing a car to University unless it is essential.

"Glasney Village was perfect for me as a new student on the campus, the rooms have plenty of space to store stuff and a decent desk space for study. All whilst being a 2 min walk from lectures. Ideal! One piece of advice I'd give is that you can make it clear when applying if you'd like a quiet or same gender flat. The accommodation team will take your preference into account, although they don’t guarantee you’ll get it. The people I shared my flat with, ended up becoming friends for life!"
