Said Foundation Masters Scholarships 2027

Each year the Saïd Foundation offers between twenty and thirty postgraduate scholarships to nationals from Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine and Syria who are also permanent residents in these countries. The Foundation is more flexible with Syrian candidates because of current circumstances in that country. Palestinians living in Israel may apply. Palestinian candidates normally resident in Gaza who have been displaced to other countries since 2023 are also eligible to apply.

The scholarships are offered for one year Masters (Postgraduate taught) courses in the UK. In exceptional circumstances the Saïd Foundation may consider a distance-learning master’s degree programme. 

There is no restriction on the chosen academic subject, but priority is given to candidates who can demonstrate that their subject will enable them to contribute to the development of their home country.

Scholarships are awarded on merit, based on the candidate’s academic excellence, the usefulness of the subject to the candidate’s home country, their leadership potential, their commitment to serving their community, their future career goals, and their practical ability to make use of the knowledge to be gained in the UK on their return to the Middle East.

The Foundation provides fully funded scholarships which include tuition fees, full maintenance/living costs for the duration of your course, an arrival allowance, visa and healthcare surcharge fees and one economy return flight.

Applications for 2027 scholarships are open and close on 5 pm GMT 30 October 2026. Further details including how to apply are available on the Said Foundation website
