Self catered residences
Use our student accommodation search to find the perfect residence for you, or browse our residences using the left navigation.
What's in your room?
- Bed, wardrobe, desk and chair, bookshelves, desk lamp or built-in lighting, noticeboard and waste bin.
- High speed network/internet through either the University ResNet Service, or another broadband supplier in some of the smaller halls.
- IPTV is available via your computer.
- Shower, washbasin and toilet facilities in en-suite and studio rooms.
You will need to bring your own bedding (duvet, sheets, pillow etc). You can buy a starter pack from Click2Campus which includes pots, cutlery and sheets. Orders can be delivered directly to your residence post location/reception
Non-fitted bed sheets are recommended for many of our residences.

What's in the kitchen and dining area?
- Shared kitchens have a cooker with oven, hob and grill, microwave, fridge/freezer, water boiler/kettle, dining table and chairs, and an ironing board.
You will need to bring pots and pans, cutlery and crockery.
In Northfield (UNITE) you are also provided with an iron and a toaster. - Studio kitchens have a microwave combi-oven, hob, fridge with freezer compartment, water boiler/kettle, dining table and chairs.
- Access to ironing boards can be arranged with your residence management team.
Services and facilities
- A limited cleaning service is provided.
- Paid laundry facilities are available on some sites (coin or token operated machines - one wash and one dry approximately £3).
- Bike storage on some sites.
- Members of the Residence Life Team are available for help and advice on welfare and other matters.
- Insurance cover for your personal belongings, heating, lighting and water charges are included in the cost.
