Careers and Placement Fair 2026 - sponsored by Hazlewoods

Tuesday 20 October 2026
11:30 - 15:30
The Great Hall and Sanctuary, Streatham Campus

The Careers and Placement Fair, sponsored by Hazlewoods, is this year taking place in The Great Hall and Sanctuary. We will be welcoming a wide range of companies, representing a variety of sectors, with exhibitors promoting their graduate vacancies, internships, placements and postgraduate courses. It provides the ideal opportunity to meet and speak informally with recruiters about the opportunities available to you.

All University of Exeter students are welcome, regardless of your year of study, subject or campus. Our fair is also open to our graduates. You can find more information about the fair, including exhibitors attending, on My Career Zone

We will also be running our STEM Careers Fair, sponsored by Newton on Monday 2 November 2026.

If you are interested in a career in the legal sector, then make sure you attend our Law Careers Fair, sponsored by Michelmores LLP on Wednesday 18 November 2026.

If you are a recruiter wishing to exhibit at the Careers and Placement Fair, please visit our employer page.

Ensure you make the most of the event by preparing in advance with the following resources:

  • Book onto the Preparing for a Career Fair Session - date to be confirmed.
  • We recommend reading through this online guide.

To attend the fair between 12:00 - 15:30, there is no need to book. You can just turn up on the day!

Accessible Period:  11:30 - 12:00 will be run as an accessible period to enable students and staff with additional needs to more easily access the fair experience. To attend the accessible period, you will need to book a space hereDuring this period, sound is kept to a minimum and we request that those who do not need additional support avoid attending during this time to minimise crowding.

We always recommend checking in advance to see who is attending the event. The full list of exhibitors attending will be available to view on My Career Zone here.

You will be able to look through the list of exhibitors in advance through the My Career Zone listing for this careers fair.

If you have never used My Career Zone before you will need to log in. To log in and complete your profile please visit https://mycareerzone.exeter.ac.uk/

If you haven't activated your account yet, when prompted select the 'single sign on' option and follow the on screen instructions.

This is NOT a virtual fair - you will not need to book specific sessions to see specific employers, you don't even have to register to come if you don't want to (unless you want to attend the quiet session).

Due to the fair, The Terrace and the Sanctuary will not be available for quiet study on the 19 and 20 October. You can, however, view alternative study space on the free space checker.

Please note that photographs and videos will be taken at this event for marketing and training purposes. We intend to use these images, where appropriate, in our promotional material to tell others about the benefits of the University. This may take the form of entries on the University's website, in emails and printed and digital media, to highlight to other students, prospective students, employers, staff and other stakeholders of the activities organised by the Employer Engagement and Student Employment Team.

The Accessible Period will take place from 11:30-12:00, followed by the main careers fair from 12:00-15:30.

The Accessible Period is ringfenced for those who may have difficulties in crowded spaces, sensory issues, rely on assistance animals or have physical conditions which makes attending the fair at peak times much harder. We therefore respectfully request if you do not fulfil this criterion, you do not attend the first 30 minutes of the event, as this may have an adverse impact on those students who genuinely need it.

If you would like to bring a friend for support, you are welcome to do so. Please note that you may bring one accompanying guest only to help us maintain a quieter environment. All accompanying guests must also be registered for the Accessible Period on My Career Zone.

Please ensure you have registered for the Accessible Period on My Career Zone prior to the day of the event. Students who are not registered will not be able to access the Accessible Period and will need to wait until the main careers fair opens at 12:00.

Please note: Whilst we aim to reduce the numbers accessing the event during the Accessible Period, there will inevitably still be ambient/background noise due the acoustics of the venue and number of exhibitors and representative in each hall.

We are committed to making this event as accessible and inclusive as possible. If you have any suggestions on how we can improve the Accessible Period, we would like to hear your feedback. Please contact us at employer-events@exeter.ac.uk.

A limited number of Hidden Disabilities Sunflower lanyards will be available to borrow on a first-come, first-served basis. These can be collected from the reception desk on arrival.
