Programme and module development and approval

The programme and module development procedures and requirements at the University of Exeter have two objectives.

1. They confirm that the University meets the expectations of the Quality Assurance Agency, regarding the development of academic programmes (i.e. documented institutional processes on programme development; involvement of students and external assessors at key stages; independence of final approval decisions from parties involved in designing and/or delivering the programme).
2. They ensure that internal expertise is exploited to enhance the quality and sustainability of the University’s programmes/modules (e.g. designated Faculty Marketing Managers, Accessibility Representatives).
