Learning Resources

The University Library maintains its principal collections in the main library buildings on the Streatham and St Luke's campuses, together with a number of specialist collections in certain Colleges. IT Services 

IT Services provide a wide range of services throughout the Exeter campuses including open access computer rooms, some of which are available 24 hours, 7 days a week. Helpdesks are maintained on the Streatham and St Luke's campuses, while most study bedrooms in halls and flats are linked to the University's campus network. University Wellbeing Services 

The University of Exeter Wellbeing Services team, made up of counsellors and mental health practitioners, are all highly skilled and experienced. They are able to offer advice, therapeutic and practical support to help you cope personally and to manage your studies. Student Health Centre

The Student Health Centre for the University of Exeter is located in Reed Mews on the Streatham Campus. In general the NHS provides a largely free service for acute illness, long term health problems and preventive services such as immunisation and cancer screening. However there are some charges – for example for prescriptions and dental services. International students with a prospective stay of over 6 months are entitled to NHS services as for UK residents. Further information about the Student Health Centre can be found here.

Student Services Centre 

The Forum Student Services Centre brings together 11 student support services. Call in at the Student Information Desk (SID) desk in the Forum to speak to an advisor in person.

The opening hours are:

Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 20:00

Saturday: 10:00 – 15:00

The Student Information Desk at St Lukes Library is open:

Monday to Friday: 09:00 - 17:00

Student Engagement and Skills Hub

The Student Engagement and Skills Hub provides resources to help you with your academic work, as well as offering support to those who wish to  engage with Peer Support activities and Students as Change Agents. Further information about the Student Engagement and Skills Hub can be found here.

Family Centre (Streatham campus)

The Family Centre provides high quality care and education for early-years children of students and staff. Further information about the Family Centre can be found here.

Students’ Guild

The Students’ Guild is the students’ union of the University of Exeter providing representation, advice, activities, social events, dining outlets and more. Further information about the Students’ Guild can be found here.

Student complaints and appeals

We make every effort to ensure that you have the best experience possible while studying at Exeter. Learning Resources (Cornwall)

There are two libraries in Cornwall: the main library based in The Exchange on the Penryn Campus, and a smaller library at the Woodlane Campus, providing books, journals and online resources relating to the subjects taught and researched on each site. Electronic resources and open access IT facilities are available at both libraries and many e-resources are available off-campus too. Student health and welfare (Cornwall)

The student health and welfare service provides one-to-one advice and guidance so that all students get the most out of their time at university, regardless of any difficulties. Further information about the student health and welfare service and a list of other support services can be found here.

FXU (Cornwall)

Falmouth and Exeter Student’s Union is run by students, for students. It is the only Union in the country to represent students from two different universities. Further information about FXU can be found here.

Woodlane Day Nursery (Cornwall)

The Woodlane Nursery provides high quality care and education in a safe and stimulating environment. Situated close to Falmouth Town Centre the nursery is purpose built and contains 3 separate areas for children aged 1 to 2 years, 2 to 3 years and 3 to 8 years. Chaplaincy (Cornwall)
