The Change Team has developed the following training courses:

Growing your practical project management skills

A two-module course covering how to design and deliver simple projects. This course provides a foundation in project management skills. It is aimed at staff who have been asked to lead on small, internally funded change projects. (If you are a GBP, a specific Project Management session is run as part of your own development programme.)

Managing others through change

A single module course exploring the nature of change and how to help others respond constructively to it. This course provides useful frameworks and approaches for supporting teams through change. It is aimed at line managers and anyone leading a change initiative.

Details
Module 1 - Planning your project (duration 3.5 hours)
Module 2 - Managing your project (duration 3 hours)

The course covers
- a step-by-step guide to taking a project from initial idea through to delivery
- a toolkit of easy to use tools with a chance to try some out
- hints and tips to avoid common pitfalls
- discussion and participation to share experience

Managing others through change
Details
 Single module, duration 3.5 hours.

The course covers

- hints and tips on designing successful change initiatives

How to book

Course bookings should be made through Trent HR. The course is listed in Trent as 'Change Management for Managers'. If you haven't used Trent before, the Learning and Development website contains instructions and relevant links to the system. In Trent, select 'Learning' then 'Learning activity search' from the menus and then type in 'Change Management' to the search box. In the 'details' column on the table, click 'select'. From this page you are able to book onto the course or add your name to the waiting list.
