About this course: This course gives an overview of the support provided by Research Services, as well as key financial aspects throughout the grant lifecycle. There is a walk though of the different stages, including costing and how to navigate the application process in your College, as well as what happens upon award through notification, set-up and management, ending in reporting.
Learning outcomes: As a result of attending this course, you will be able to: - 1 Understand how Research Services can support you throughout your grant application and award. - 2 Understand the key elements in costing a research grant application. - 3 Identify and manage key stages of your live research grant finances. - 4 Understand the broad controls and regulations that research grants and contracts adhere to.
Who should attend this course: Research active academic staff including Early Career Researchers (3 years postdoc experience) in receipt of, or contemplating applying for research funding.
