This session will help you consider whether studying for a PhD is right for you. It will cover what a PhD entails, key motivations for studying a PhD and future career options. For the latest events, please check Handshake. 

This session is a facilitated small group discussion for students who already think that they want to develop a freelance or portfolio career. You will be able to discuss your career ideas with Career Zone staff and other students and gain a deeper understanding of the next steps you can take to build your career in the style of working that you want.

It is recommended to attend the 'Ways of working: Could a Freelance or Portfolio Career be for You?' webinar before attending this session.

The Ask An Alum (Careers Q&A) is a fuss-free way to connect with University of Exeter alumni to ask careers questions. By filling in our quick and easy application form, you can be introduced to alumni working in your field of interest…whatever that may be at the time of applying. 

Speaking with employers is an excellent way to find out more about a sector and the roles available.
