Overview

Role

Sophie leads the specialist team that develops and manages Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) projects. The team manage a portfolio of projects with different organisations and a variety of academic teams from concept through to completion. We support KTPs by collaborating with academics, companies and graduates; facilitating and assisting the development of projects and with the preparation of proposals and submissions. 

Career

Sophie re-joined the University in 2017. Prior to this she worked in a variety of environment and sustainability roles across different sectors in the South West; most recently focussing on sustainability at South West Water. Sophie previously worked for the University as Business Engagement Manager within the Centre for Business and Climate Solutions; an ERDF-funded project which helped businesses across the region to reduce their carbon emissions and adapt to climate change. She started her career with the University as the associate on a three-year KTP project focussing on energy/carbon management and circular economy principles in manufacturing.
