Role

Tom is a member of the Enterprise & Innovations Programmes Team, managing the processes involved in responding to Government and other Public Body-funded tenders for research and consultancy projects. This involves the management of University registrations for various online tendering portals, opportunity identification and dissemination, and supporting academics and Exeter Innovation colleagues with the development and management of tender responses, ensuring that proposals are compliant with funder requirements and submitted ahead of the opportunity deadlines.

Profile

Tom joined the University of Exeter in November 2011 initially working as Disclosure Research Assistant for the Commercial Engagement Team, before becoming a Business Development Officer in October 2012 and an Enterprise and Innovations Programmes Manager in 2023. Prior to this he worked for an Exeter-based commercial life sciences company, developing innovative tools for medical research purposes.
