Ciara will be in conversation with Chidinma Aroyewun FinTech Exec & Digital Marketing Expert, Erika Brodnock, founder and CEO of Kami and PhD Research Officer at the Inclusion Initiative @LSE, Rachel Lindley, CEO at Five Talents, Johanna Mitchell, Director at Clear Lead Consulting, Emma Osmundsen, Managing Director at Exeter City Living and Professor Gail Whiteman, Professor of Sustainability at the University of Exeter Business School.

Women in Conservation Conference

The International Women’s Day theme this year is #BreaktheBias, so our conference will focus on the experiences and challenges that have shaped the careers of inspirational women working in the conservation sector, and that became their Roots to Success.

Come and network with like-minded individuals and hear stories from a range of international and local female conservationists working towards shaping a greener future.

This event is organised by students at the University of Exeter, but is open for all to attend. Doors open at 5pm, event starts at 5:30pm in DDM Lecture Theatre A&B (Penryn Campus)

National Careers Week

From the 7 -10 March it is National Careers Week, but on Tuesday 8 March it is International Women’s Day too, so across the whole week the Careers Team are celebrating some of our most inspirational cheerleaders, champions and coaches. Find us in the Forum, Streatham Campus, and in the Career Zone, Penryn Campus where we’re inviting you to add to the list of the incredible women inspiring career choices across the world and throughout history. Why does the Gender Pay Gap persist?

To celebrate the University of Exeter Business School’s achievement of the Athena Swan Bronze Award and its commitment to achieve sustained gender equality, the Business School is hosting a panel discussion on the gender pay gap. Business School Athena Swan Chair, Dr. Emma Jeanes, will be joined by Prof Susan Milner, University of Bath and Dr. Alison Parken, University of Cardiff. All three speakers are members of the GW4 Pay Equality Research Consortium.

Discover University - International Women's Day Week Online Event Series

Monday 7 - Friday 11 March 2022

International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women and call to action for accelerating sex and gender equality with this year's theme being #BreaktheBias. Our series of International Women’s Day online events are taking place between 7-11 March and will be hosted by staff and students from the University of Exeter on Zoom. You can sign up for as many as you are able to attend, with themes including women in leadership, women's healthcare, the socialist roots of IWD, and women in film, literature and theatre.
