Postgraduate Taught Global Excellence Scholarship

At the University of Exeter we combine world-class teaching and research from exceptional locations in South West England. We have more than £2 million worth of scholarships available for international fee paying students applying to study with us in September 2020. These scholarships have been created to provide the opportunity for more students from across the globe to develop their academic talents and contribute to our thriving community of students and staff from over 170 countries.

Scholarships of up to £10,000, payable as a reduction of the international fee for one year only will be awarded for outstanding academic quality. Awardees will be expected to demonstrate that they have achieved or are able to achieve the equivalent of a UK upper second class degree.

Eligible programmes are all full time taught MA or MSc degrees with the exception of the following courses: MBA, MSc Accounting and Taxation, MSc International Business, MSc Marketing, MSc Money, Banking and Finance, MSc Human Resource Management, MSc International Human Resource Management, MSc International Tourism Management, MSc Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management, MSc Finance and Investment, MSc Finance and Management, MSc Finance and Marketing, MA International Film Business or MA Creativity: Innovation and Business Strategy, MA Applied Security Strategy, MSc Island Biodiversity and Conservation, MPA,/MPA with Applied Studies and MA Education Online.

Scholarships will be offered on a rolling basis until 30 June 2020 OR all allocated funds have been distributed, whichever may be earlier. As there are a limited number of scholarships available we encourage early submission of your Masters programme application and the prompt completion of your scholarship application on receipt of an offer. 1st Class Global Excellence Scholarships

The University of Exeter Business School is offering up to 20 awards of £7,500 to recognise the highest academic talent amongst offer holders starting an eligible* Masters degrees in September 2020.

Applicants who are able to demonstrate that they have achieved, or are on track to achieve, a UK first class degree or Masters at 60% equivalent or better will be considered for this award. Eligible programmes are:

Our Postgraduate Global Excellence Scholarships for Home/EU applicants with a minimum of 2.1 are worth £1,000 payable as a reduction of your 2020 Home/EU tuition fees.

Scholarships will offered on a rolling basis until 30 June 2020 at the discretion of the University. As there are a limited number of scholarships available we encourage early submission of your postgraduate application. There is no separate application form; all applicants who apply for an eligible course will be considered for an award until the total number of available scholarships are allocated.

Terms and Conditions

This award will be allocated to outstanding applicants applying for the first time for September 2020 entry (deferred offer holders or applicants seeking deferred entry are not eligible). Applicants must complete the scholarships application form to be considered for a scholarship.  A link to the webform can be found via the link to details of each scholarship.

Academic merit, as determined by information provided in the application form, is the sole determinant in identifying potential scholars. Typically this will be the achievement of a bachelor's degree equivalent to at least a UK upper second class award.

Awardees will be required to satisfy any conditions stipulated in their offer letter no later than 31 August 2020. Applicants can only receive one scholarship funded by the University of Exeter, in the event that an applicant is secures more than one University award the scholarship of the greater value will take precedence.  Awards are non-recurrent.
